One of the most significant objectives of NABA is to assist minority students entering the fields of accounting, finance and business. The Cleveland Chapter of NABA supports this meaningful objective with programs and scholarships for both high school and college students. The fundraising efforts of the Cleveland Chapter provides funds for scholarships for deserving high school and college students in area. There are also scholarships awarded at the Regional and National level for local college students. The Accounting Careers Awareness Program (ACAP) is a week-long summer program held on the campus of The Ohio State University for high school students to gain a better understanding of the field of accounting and related careers. There are 3 collegiate-level student chapters of NABA in the Greater Cleveland area. (Cleveland State University, University of Akron and Greater Cleveland Metropolitan Chapter). The professional chapters provides guidance and assistance to members of the student chapters throughout the year. NABA's Central Region sponsors an annual student conference for members of the student chapters in the Central Region. |
